AUTOMATIC CRANE SYSTEMS
The crane offers a highly flexible,
easy maintainable and fully automatic solution to transport of various kinds
of biomass.Designed to operate inside
a fuel storage building, the crane collects the fuel and transports it to
the fuel feeding system of the boiler. The crane works fully automatic, and
ensures that the hopper for the fuel feeding system is kept full. The crane
is furthermore programmed for re-positioning the fuel inside the storage.
The crane has been used for the following
biomass sources:
- Wood chips
- Turf
- Bark
- Straw bales
- Poultry litter
- Orujillo
- Pellets of any kind
Various kinds of grabs can be installed on the crane according to the fuel
type. KEM offers three kinds of grabs in various sizes. For normal sized
fuels like e.g. wood flakes and pellets, a shovel-grab is used (photo 1).
With more difficult fuel with large variation in size, like e.g. wood waste,
a polygrab is used (photo 2). The third type is for biomass collected in
bales where a special designed grab is used (photo 3)
The system with cranes is modular build, meaning that more cranes can
operate inside the fuel storage at the same time in order to increase
logistic capacity.
Main advantages are:
- High capacity
- Fully automatic
- Flexibility towards different kinds of fuel
- Sectionized storage with different fuel types
- Low power consumption
